Martell... One of the most unspoilt side valleys of the Vinschgau

Spring in the Berry Paradise:
Buds reach out to meet the early rays of the sun, the colours of the early spring blossoms shimmer gently, Nature awakes from its winter slumber. Birds twitter and insects hum above a sea of wonderfully scented blossoms. The land soaks up the sun – humanity flourishes.

Summer:
Colourful, intoxicating, fragrant, invigorating… only a few of the prospects for your summer holiday. Stock up on those summer feelings… Rich greenery, fresh air, sunny days that smell of hay, hustle and bustle in the forest – nature overflows with a real love of life, transmitting it on to people. Move energetically through Nature, either on foot on a hike, or by bike, climbing or running. In the Martell Valley there are about 220 km of easy to challenging, well-marked mountain and hiking paths. Ancient routes lead to the ridges and on into the Laas Valley, to Sulden and into the Ulten Valley.

Autumn:
Delicious, fresh and with a great taste – fruit and vegetables from over a thousand metres above sea level. The secret of the tasty natural delicacies from the Martel Valley lies first of all in the climate up here at high altitude. The somewhat lower temperatures in the area mean that plants take longer to grow and so fruit, vegetables and salad plants develop more flavour. Buying a few strawberries goes perfectly with a hiking excursion in the Martell Valley! Personally picking your own strawberries in the fields can be a fabulously natural and tasty experience! Make sure you “pick” the right time for your berry holiday!

Winter:
The fascinating winter landscape nestling under a fluffy covering of snow, frost patterns on the window, fence posts wearing white caps – and inside your hands warming on a cup of fragrant hot punch whilst you look forward to your fruity meal and finally to snuggling down into your bed at night time.
