The entire Martello Valley lies in the heart of one of the largest national parks in the Alps – Stelvio National Park. Untouched forests, flowering alpine meadows and rare plants that grow only at this altitude create a unique natural habitat. With a bit of luck, you might spot bearded vultures, marmots or chamois moving across the rocky slopes and meadows.

At 1,850 meters you’ll discover a turquoise alpine lake surrounded by forests and rugged peaks. A place to pause, breathe and be amazed. Ideal for hiking, picnics or photography.
Tip: Mirror-like reflections in the early morning or a photo of the dam with the surrounding mountains. Adventurous spirits can try the climbing wall on the dam.

Tennis, mini golf, indoor climbing and bouldering – or simply sunbathing on the terrace. Everyone finds their personal holiday moment here: families, couples, adventure seekers.
Tip: The modern climbing hall invites beginners and pros.

Martello strawberries grow at up to 1,800 meters. Intensely aromatic and the pride of the valley. From May to October – fresh from small stands or at the annual Strawberry Festival in June.
Tip: Best enjoyed in a strawberry sundae or cake at Laura’s cafe Hölderle. Fresh berries and local products are available at the Erdbeerwelt in Trattla.

A breathtaking natural spectacle: walk along suspended walkways and bridges right above the roaring Plima Gorge – safe, wild and unforgettable.
Tip: All four viewing platforms are incredibly instagrammable.

Built centuries ago using only muscle power and simple tools, the dam protected the valley from glacial floods. A powerful testament to human strength, framed by untouched nature.
Tip: Comfortable loungers around the dam invite you to slow down.

A place full of stories. Once a luxury hotel, today a fascinating lost place where nostalgia meets stillness.

At 2,260 meters, you’ll find a silent witness of history: during WWI, the small stone house served as a bathhouse and delousing station for soldiers. Today a small but powerful alpine museum.
Tip: The perfect match for a hike to the Martello Mountain Hut or a stop at the Zufall Hut – with breathtaking views of the glacier and the Ortler mountain range.
